Day 1: Arrival – Vientiane (Meals N/A)
Upon arrival in Vientiane Capital, you are met and transferred to your centrally located hotel. After a short rest, we start visiting the major sights of the capital; including the oldest Wat Sisaket, the temple with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Hor Prakeo previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. On the way to the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, we stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph. If time permits us, we will shop at the Morning market of Vientiane and see what you will find. Recommended items are Lao textiles, hill-tribe Art, crafts and antiques. Overnight in Vientiane.
Day 2: Vientiane – Xieng Khuang – Discover Plain of Jars – Xieng Khuang (Meals: B)
After breakfast transfer to the airport for morning flight to Xiengkhouang By QV401 Dep. 10.00 Arr. 10.30. Upon arrival, your guide will meet you and transfer you to the hotel. Then we drive to discover the Plain of Jars site 1st, sites 2nd and sites 3rd, the most famous and mysterious tour sites in Laos, in Xieng Khuang Province. Visit the old town and the stupa and temple at Muang Khoune. Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant and explore some local ethnic-minority villages. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 : Xieng Khuang – Luang Prabang 306 Km / 7 hours drive (Meals: B, L)
After breakfast, you will begin your journey over scenic route 7 by driving through high green mountains and the rugged karts formation on the way stop to visit local ethnic minorities of Hmong and Khmu. Until you reach the T-junction on Route 13, which goes through north to south of Laos. Visit Muang Phu Khun, site of a former French colonial fort. The brick and stucco ruins may have been officer’s quarters. Have Lunch in a local restaurant en route than continuing on route 13 up north through unspoiled rolling mountains to Luang Prabang and upon arrival transfer to hotel. Have a relax and exploring Luang Prabang city on your own.
Day 4: Luang Prabang-Ban Na Yang- Nong Khiew & Exploring Around Nongkhiew (Meals: B, L)
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up at the hotel then begin your journey drive up North along 13 Rd, through beautiful unspoiled natural and amazing rolling mountains. On the way have a short break to visit Ban Na Yang village, where the famous Thai Lui tribe takes place on the ancient wooden room to product clothing silk and cotton. Then continue your journey to Nongkhiew, en route stop for lunch at Nam Ban district. Upon arrival in Nongkhiew, check-in at local Bungalow and spend the rest of the day at leisure or have a short hiking to exploring Tam Pha Tok cave, where local villagers hidden during the Indochina war. Return to Nongkhiew and take a leisure along the Nam Ou river to enjoy with a beautiful sunset over the limestone cliffs. Dinner is served at the restaurant by the river.
Day 5: Nong Khiew- Riverboat Muang Ngoi-Tam Kang Cave- Around Muang Ngoi (Meals: B, L)
After breakfast, continue your journey on the boat trip excursion along with the mighty of the Ou river with the spectacular scenery of limestone mountains line on both sides of the riverbank. Upon arrival at Muang Ngoi check-in at local Bungalow, and lunch will be served at any delicious of a local restaurant. And after that we would start to explore this small beautiful town by first take short hiking to visit Tam Kang Cave, once was a resident of local people during the secret of the Vietnam war. Visit Ban Na and return to exploring Muang Ngoi town. By late afternoon spend the rest of the day at a leisurely on the riverside and enjoy with wonderful sunset. Tonight dinner with your guide at the basic local restaurant just by the riverside.
Muang Ngoi is tucked away on a river peninsula cut off from regular roadways by steep mountains range, the village’s natural isolation means there is no motor vehicle. Narrow dirt footpaths lined with coconut palms, along with the common sight of fisherfolk mending their net. The village depends for its traditional livelihoods, fishing, and farmers
Day 6: Muang Ngoi-Pak Mong-Chong Cha-Oudomsai (Meals: B, L)
After breakfast, take a boat trip return to Nong Kiaw and start to drive with your guide through numerous green mountains to Oudomxai, on the mountaintop have a short break to visit the ethnic Hmong hill tribes Village of Chong Cha, the local villagers set-up their houses spread along the mountainside, surrounding offer beautiful scenery and amazing of rolling hill. Lunch will be served at any good and delicious restaurant in Oudomxai, upon arrival check-in at local guest-house or hotel and spend the rest of t the day at a leisure or exploring with your guide around Oudomxai, the option to visit around here is numerous hill tribes village of Hmong, Akha, Lan Ten, Yao and the local waterfall. Tonight dinner with your guide at a local restaurant
Day 7: Oudomsai – Luangnamtha (Meals: B, L)
After breakfast, your guide would accompany you to visit the morning market where local farmers bring their crop and other medicinal plants from the jungle include herb and other wildlife sells in the market. Return to the hotel and continue your journey along the former Chinese road to Luangnamtha on the way enjoy with local villages of Ban Lakhamdeng & Ban Lakhammai. Upon arrival at Luangnamtha check-in at hotel then enjoy lunch with your guide. After lunch, your guide would accompany you exploring Luangnamtha until late afternoon return to the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 8: Riverboat excursion Nam Tha & Nam Ha River NBCA – Muang Sing (Meals: B, L)
After breakfast, begin your riverboat trip on Namtha & Nam Ha river both are National Biodiversity Conversation Area within NBCA itself there are 25 hill tribe villages, we would exploring the most populous ethnic groups of Akha, Hmong, Khamu, and Lantaen at the villages along both side of the river. Picnic lunch at the local village then return to Luangnamtha, check-out and drive to Muang Sing upon arrival check-in at local guest-house and spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Dinner at a local restaurant in town
Day 9: Muang Sing – Exploring Around Muang Sing – Luangnamtha (Meals: B, L)
After breakfast, start your exploration by visiting the local Handicrafts cooperative of Hat Yao. Where local villagers sell a range of handicrafts, textiles, basketry, jewelry, and some clothing. And visit the local Market. Where farmers and hill tribes brought their textiles, fresh produces, herbs, wild animals. Visit Muang Sing Exhibitions once was occupied by a local prince name Pra Ya Huakhong. Display inside with a collection of cultural artifacts, fishing & cooking utensils, weaving rooms, old drum, bell, various potteries, music instrument and many of tribal crafts, Lao style Buddha images include local ethnic costumes. Then enjoy winding road drive to the outside of town to visit hill tribe’s villages of Thaidam, Hmong and Akha. Return to have lunch at local restaurant in town and after check-out drive back to Luang Namtha. Dinner at your hotel
Day 10: Luang Namtha – Vientiane (Meals: B)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for flight to Vientiane and connect flight departure from Laos.
