Overview
The tour starts at either 8:30 or 9:00 am with a pick-up from your hotel. You will then be driven straight to the Plain of Jars Site 1, which has around 334 jars. Here, you will visit the biggest jars, which weigh over 6 tons, the N.V.A trenches, the kiln cave, and the special carving jars with a frog man on them.
The visit will take about 2 hours, including explanations and taking photographs. After that, you will continue to drive to Plain of Jars Site 2, which has two groups of jars on the twin hills at Sa La To Mountain. You will spend about 40 minutes here, including explanations.
Then, you will drive to Site 3 and walk across the rice field. This site is the most beautiful and the best for photo opportunities.
After that, you will continue to visit the War-scrap village, where local people produce spoons made of aluminum scrap from Indochina-war era warplanes.
Finally, on the way back, you will visit the Russian tank before being driven back to Phonsavan at around 4:00 pm.
