Day 1: Thai border / Houay Xai - Pakbeng (Meals:L)
At 08:30am, You will be pick up by our tour guide with a welcome sign with your name at the Lao immigration office or from your hotels in Houay Xai. at the Thai Laos Crossing Border our tour guide will help to and guide you to fill the application form to get the Lao Visa. After getting the VISA, Then, we will transfer you by mini van to the boat pier.
12:00pm: Lunch is served on board. You will taste traditional Lao food with several dishes.
2:00pm: The first stop will be to visit a Hill Tribe Village along the Mekong River. Our guide will explain the way of living and the origins of these rural populations. The tribe being small, we ask you a special attention to respect the private space of the habitants while the visit.
During the afternoon, you will be free to relax on board and taste some local snacks and fresh fruits.
4:30pm: The boat arrives in Pakbeng before sunset, where you will retreat to your accommodation for the night.
Overnight: Pakbeng

Day 2: Pakbeng - Luang Prabang (Meals:B,L)
8:00am: The boat leaves Pakbeng.
The boat departs for another day of impressive nature landscapes all along the river. 2 stops are planned during the afternoon.
Use your free time in the morning for asking some questions about Luang Prabang and Laos the guide.
12:30pm: Lunch is served on board. You will taste traditional Lao food with several dishes.
1:00pm: After the lunch, the first stop will be at Pak Ou to visit the famous Pak Ou Caves (Tham Ting) and its thousands of Buddha images.
2:30pm: Next step, the Lao Lao village, commonly known as the Whiskey Village.
In there, the guide will provide information about the locally made rice whisky, and you will have the chance to taste it if you wish.
You will also have time to enjoy the charm of this small and authentic village, its temple and local artisans.
You will be served some local snacks and fresh fruits before arrival.
You will arrive in Luang Prabang around 4:30pm our driver will be ready there to welcome you with a "welcome sign board with your name" to pick you up then transfer to your Hotel in Luang Prabang

Introduction

Our boats are specially made for cruising in the Mekong. 35-meters long, they are equipped with 200 horsepower engines. The hulls are made of steel and passenger decks onboard are made of precious local woods (rosewood and teak). With a sun deck lounge area in the front, a 10 table and 40 seat areas in the middle, and a bar and sitting area in the back, you will certainly enjoy a very comfortable and relaxing time during the cruise. With a different lunch served onboard each day of your journey, you will experience and discover authentic Lao cuisine. The crew, formed by an experienced captain, an engineer, a cook, a waiter and an English speaking tour guide, does its best to make this Mekong cruise unique.

Accommodation
There is no accommodation on board - this is provided in Pakbeng - but each boat is comfortable and provides a tasty breakfast and Laos’s lunch, with excellent views out of the Mekong and the thriving communities that depend on it. The Shompoo is also a viable option if you’re interested in travelling between Laos and Thailand by boat.
The crew and all the management team also develop small projects in the villages you may visit on the course of your cruise. We try to help village (especially schools and young students) providing pencils, pens, books, soap, school uniforms, shoes and others useful materials they really need.
